Jason Windsor Named PCL Pitcher of the Week

WEST SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- Sacramento River Cats starting pitcher Jason Windsor was named the PCL Pitcher of the Week for the week of August 28 - September 4, league officials announced today. This is the second time this year Windsor has earned these honors, also being named the League's Pitcher of the Week for the week of May 22-28. Windsor went 1-0 in his 2 starts during this past week with and ERA of 1.38, 13 strikeouts and only 3 walks. Overall for 2006, Windsor went 13-1 with an ERA of 3.81 for the Cats.

Windsor, a resident of Lake Forest, California, was drafted by the A's in the June, 2004 Amateur Draft out of Cal State Fullerton. The right-hander made his Major League debut with Oakland earlier this season, going 0-1 with a 5.87 ERA in 2 starts for the A's.
