Jardine Recalled to Rockford

Rockford, Ill.- The Rockford IceHogs, proud American Hockey League affiliate of the 2015 Stanley Cup Champion Chicago Blackhawks, announced that they have recalled defenseman Sam Jardine from the Indy Fuel (ECHL).

Jardine, 22, has skated in 30 games for the Fuel during the 2015-16 season. In those games, he notched three points (1g-2a) and accumulated eleven penalty minutes.

The Lacombe, Alberta native saw action in three games with the IceHogs earlier this season, producing five penalty minutes.

The rookie previously played for the Ohio State University Buckeyes from 2012-15, totaling 32 points (3g-29a). In 2012-13, his freshman season, he played under now-IceHogs assistant coach, Mark Osiecki.

Next Home Game: Friday, Jan. 22 vs. Iowa Wild at 7 p.m. The IceHogs face the Wild for the first of two games in a weekend series. The first 2,500 fans will receive a fleece blanket courtesy of OSF.
