Springfield, MA - The Springfield Falcons announced today that the team has released forward Jon DiSalvatore from his Professional Tryout Contract.

The 34-year-old DiSalvatore dressed in 22 games with the Falcons this year amassing 1-7-8 with a plus-2 rating. The 6-foot-1, 200-pound native of Bangor, ME has played in 814 career AHL games totaling 236- 340-576 with the Cleveland Barons, Worcester IceCats, Peoria Rivermen, San Antonio Rampage, Lowell Devils, Houston Aeros, Hershey Bears, Syracuse Crunch and Falcons. DiSalvatore was originally drafted by the San Jose Sharks in the fourth round (104th overall) in the 2000 NHL Entry Draft.
