
Janesville comes out on top against Coulee Region in back-and-forth-game, 5-4

In a game that featured four lead changes, the Janesville Jets had the final say in a 5-4 victory over the Coulee Region Chill.
Kyle Patava was all over the ice for Janesville, as he finished with two goals in the win. Patava's tallies came at 11:54 into the second period to make the score 2-2 and 2:07 into the third to make the score 4-4.
By firing 30 shots on goal, the Jets exceeded the 22.9 shots they average per game this year.
Janesville also got points from Jordan Himley, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Janesville also got a goal from Michael Louria as well. Other players who recorded assists for Janesville were Grant Frederic, who had two and Carson Vance, Brandon Schultz, Drew Callin, Mike Sullivan, and Cole Pierce, who each chipped in one.
Coulee Region excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. The Chill's defense let in more goals than it usually has this year. Coulee Region gives up 2.5 goals per game. The Chill put 39 shots on net during the contest, more than the 25.3 they average per game.
Coulee Region was helped by Ondrej Zehnal, who registered one goal. Zehnal scored 5:39 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Dunk Abbott assisted on the tally. Coulee Region additionally got points from Abbott, who also tallied one goal and one assist. James McGing also scored for Coulee Region. In addition, Coulee Region received assists from Adam Lovick, who had two and Jake Zeleznikar, Sean Kalbak, Richard Zehnal, and Cam Bleck, who contributed one a piece.
Janesville's Brock Kautz stopped 35 shots out of the 39 that he faced. The Jets ended with 13 minutes in penalty time with four minors and one major. Adam Carlson rejected 25 shots on goal for the Chill. Coulee Region totaled 13 minutes in penalty time with four minors and one major and went 1-for-5 on the power play.
