
Warriors Split Series against Springfield with 4-1 Win

4-unanswered goals, 2-each in the 1st and 3rd periods, by the Michigan Warriors pace the Warriors to a split in the weekend series vs. the Springfield Jr. Blues, at Perani Arena and Event Center Saturday night.
Nick Belger (2) opened the scoring in the contest for Springfield, while the Warriors got goals from Alec Pellegrino (3), John Nugent (3), Jake Hopfner (5) and Jon Farkas (4).
Trevor Gorsuch stopped 23 shots in the victory for Michigan while Sandro Aeschlimann made 35 saves in a losing effort for Springfield.
The Warriors were coming of back-to-back Overtime losses for the 4th time in team history, and with the win Saturday night, the Warriors move to a 3-1 mark in games following back-to-back overtime losses.
Michigan plays host to Port Huron in their next home contest on Saturday night Oct 26, 2013, at 7 PM.
