Connecticut Whale News Release
Hartford, November 16, 2004: Hartford Wolf Pack General Manager Jim Schoenfeld announced today that Jamie Lundmark, a first round draft pick of the New York Rangers in 1999, has agreed to terms with the Wolf Pack. He will be joining the team shortly.
Lundmark began this season playing for HC Bolzano of the Italian League, leading the team with ten goals and 19 points in 14 games. The 6-0, 195 pound forward skated in 56 games for the Rangers last season, registering two goals and eight assists for 10 points, along with 33 penalty minutes. As a Ranger, Lundmark has totaled 10 goals and 19 assists for 29 points, along with 49 penalty minutes in 111 contests. During the 2001-02 season, the Edmonton native received the Wolf Pack's Rookie of the Year award after recording 27 goals and 32 assists for 59 points in 79 games. Lundmark has appeared in 101 career games in a Wolf Pack uniform, registering 36 goals and 41 assists for 77 points, along with 74 penalty minutes.
It is still to be determined whether Lundmark will suit up with the Pack this weekend or not, as he is travelling back from Europe at the present time. The club is in the midst of five straight road games, including games against Portland on Friday, Springfield Saturday, Wilkes-Barre Scranton next Wednesday and Bridgeport next Friday. The club returns to the Hartford Civic Center on Saturday, November 27, when they host the Wilkes-Barre Scranton Penguins - a rematch of the Eastern Conference playoff finalists last year.
The AHL's Hartford Wolf Pack hockey club is part of Madison Square Garden LP. Cablevision Systems Corporation owns a controlling interest in MSG LP, which also includes the New York Rangers (NHL), New York Knicks (NBA), the New York Liberty (WNBA), the MSG Network, Fox Sports Net and the Madison Square Garden arena complex.
