
James Stucky to Represent Silvertips, Selected as Equipment Manager for CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game

EVERETT, Wash. - Everett Silvertips equipment manager James Stucky has been selected to work as equipment manager at the 2016 CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game, announced today in conjunction with the Canadian Hockey League in association with BMO Financial Group, Sportsnet and the Vancouver Giants hockey club.
The CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game, January 28 at Pacific Coliseum in Vancouver, hosts the 21st annual showcase of the CHL's top-40 NHL Draft eligible players featuring talent from the WHL, Ontario Hockey League, and Quebec Major Junior Hockey League competing before hundreds of NHL scouts in attendance.
Silvertips goaltender Carter Hart, ranked #1 among goaltenders (North American) by NHL Central Scouting, is schedule to participate in the game and suit up for Team Orr.
The event, just 114 miles north of Everett, will be televised live across Canada on Sportsnet, TVA Sports, and in the United States on NHL Network. Tickets are available for the game are located at www.bmotopprospects.ca.
Stucky, who has served the Silvertips since the franchise's inception in 2003-04, has worked over 1,500 career games across Major Junior and minor league professional levels. He is responsible for managing extensive equipment needs of every Silvertips player, aimed at supporting the team's on-ice success objectives. He also oversees the team's travel during the season, maintaining dressing room infrastructure and supporting the Silvertips coaches and athletic trainer.
The native of Burien, Wash. began his hockey career in 1995 with Memphis of the Central Hockey League, worked three seasons for Indianapolis of the International Hockey League, and served Cincinnati of the American Hockey League from 1999-2003 as the top developmental affiliate of the Anaheim Ducks and Detroit Red Wings.
Stucky will serve as equipment manager for Team Cherry at the CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game alongside head coach Don Cherry, and assistant coaches Brian Kilrea (Hockey Hall of Fame member), Bert O'Brien, Brian Sutter, and Colby Armstrong.
The Silvertips start a four-game road trip and visit the Kamloops Blazers for their next game, Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. (1380 AM / WHL Live) in their second meeting of the season.
