(BUFFALO, NY) â The Buffalo Destroyers announced WR/DB Carlos James has been reinstated from his one week team suspension. The team also announced it has waived WR/LB Kevin Mason.
James, an Ironman of the Year candidate, missed the Los Angeles Avengers game Saturday night due to his suspension. He has been added to the team's playoff roster. James is the team's third leading receiver with 43 receptions for 538 yards and a team high 14 touchdowns. He is also the team 's third leading tackler with 44.5 stops.
Mason, who has been with the Destroyers since their inaugural season, was the team's sixth leading receiver this season with 18 catches for 264 yards and five touchdowns. Mason also had 10.5 tackles and one forced fumble. Mason set a Destroyers single game record with a 34 yard run week four vs. Detroit. Mason had a career high three solo tackles week seven vs. San Jose.
The Destroyers begin their quest of ArenaBowl XVI in the sunshine state as they meet Southern Division Champion the Orlando Predators Friday, July 26 at 7:30 PM. The game will air live on WNSA 107.7 FM and will be broadcast on tape delay Saturday, July 27 at 2:00 PM on TNN.
