
Jam Suffers from Loss of Key Players

Bakersfield, CA - The Bakersfield Jam was beaten handily by the Albuquerque Thunderbirds in front of a sparse 695 fans. The defeat was attributed to the loss of three key Jam players.
"We lost three starters in the first two minutes of the game," said Coach Harrick. First, Patrick O'Bryant was called up to the Golden State Warriors, Kevinn Pinkney signed a ten-day contract with the Boston Celtics and then Tamar Slay was sidelined only two minutes into the game with a shoulder injury.
The T-birds jumped out to a 20 point lead in the third quarter and never looked back. Dijon Thompson dominated the scoreboard with 36 points and was followed by Andreas Glyniadakis with 21 and Julius Hodge with 19.
Scooter McFadgon lead the jam in scoring with 30 point. Mateen Cleaves recorded 21, while Brandon Bowman put up 17. Yuta Tabuse scored 12 points in the fourth quarter alone. Final score was T-birds 126, Jam 106.
