BAKERSFIELD, April 2, 2012 - The Dakota Wizards (27-20) used a 23-5 run late in the third quarter to put the game out of reach for the Bakersfield Jam (27-20) as Dakota defeated Bakersfield 111-92.

Edwin Ubiles started the game hot for the Wizards scoring 13 of his 15 points in the first quarter to give Dakota a 24-21 lead after one. Hannah pushed the Wizards lead to 11 on a couple free throws late in the second quarter as he was perfect from the field and free throw line in the quarter. A Chris Wright jump shot made the Wizards lead to 13 before the Jam finished the quarter on a 9-2 run and cut the Wizards lead to 52-46 heading into the half. Bakersfield stuck with Dakota for most of the third quarter before Dakota went on a run that ended with a heave from Hannah at the buzzer to give the Wizards an 88-71 lead heading into the final quarter. An ally-oop dunk from Hannah to Wright sparked a 15-2 Dakota run in the fourth that put the game out of reach for Bakersfield.

Trey Johnson came off the bench for the Jam to score a team-high 16 points. Brian Butch scored 14 points and grabbed eight rebounds while Jeremy Wise and Juan Pattillo each scored 12 apiece. Los Angeles Clippers Assignee Travis Leslie finished with 13 points off the bench and Renaldo Major added 10 points.

All five starters finished in double figures for the Wizards. Performer of the Week, Stefhon Hannah, lead the way once again for the Wizards scoring 24 points, dishing out 11 assists, and grabbing 6 rebounds. Maurice Baker finished with 21 points. Marcus Dove recorded a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds and Taylor Griffin came off the bench to score 11.

Bakersfield will return to action tomorrow to go up against the Iowa Energy at 5:00 p.m. PT at the Wells Fargo Arena.
