Jam Hold Playoff Course In 108-96 Win Over Sioux Falls

(Bakersfield, Calif., March 21, 2009) - Six different Bakersfield Jam players scored in double-digits on their way to a 108-96 victory over the Sioux Falls Skyforce.

The Jam took a 52-50 point lead into halftime on a Terrance Thomas jumper from the foul line at the buzzer, capping off a back-and-forth half which saw the lead switch hands nine times. Bakersfield took control in the second half, grabbing control in the third quarter and leading by as many as 17 at one point en route to the victory.

The Bakersfield effort was led by double-doubles by Mateen Cleaves (17 points, 11 assists) and Nick Lewis (13p, 10 rebounds) while Trey Johnson led all Jam scorers with 21 points.

Kasib Powell led all Sioux Falls scorers with 21 points on the evening as the Skyforce scored 33 points off of turnovers.

The Jam improves to 24-19 on the season while Sioux Falls drops to 22-22 on the season.

Bakersfield concludes a three game home stand when they host the Iowa Energy on Tuesday, March 24th at 7:00pm.
