BAKERSFIELD, CA - The Bakersfield Jam (9-6) let a double-digit lead slip away to lose to the Oklahoma City Blue (5-8) at home, 130-116.
The first half ended with Xavier Munford draining a three-pointer at the buzzer, giving Bakersfield a 69-65 lead at the break. There were eight ties and seven lead changes in that first half, including both teams shooting above 55 percent from the field. Bakersfield was able to extend their lead to as many as 12 points late in the third (94-82), and went into the final frame with a 94-87 advantage.
The fourth quarter was an awful one for the Jam, as they shot just 35.3 percent from the floor, compared to Oklahoma City's 69.2, and got outscored 43-22.
Earl Barron paced the Jam with 30 points and 11 rebounds. Elijah Millsap finished with 19 points and nine rebounds, while Adrian Thomas scored 14 points off the bench (4/5 3FGs). Munford chipped in 11 points.
The Blue had six players score in double-figures, led by Mario Little who had 27 points on 10-of-16 shooting. Semaj Christon posted 21 points and seven rebounds, while Oklahoma City Thunder assignee Grant Jerrett tallied 14 points.
