
Jakub Petruzalek Signs With New York Rangers' Farm Club

Barrie, ON- The Barrie Colts today announce that centre Jakub Petruzalek has signed an amateur tryout agreement with the Hartford Wolf Pack of the American Hockey League.
Petruzalek, 21, joined the Colts on January 10, 2006 and appeared in 24 regular season games while he accumulated eleven goals to go along with 20 assists. He finished third in team scoring during the 2006 playoffs with 19 points (8g-11a) through 14 games, and played a total of 82 career OHL games with Ottawa and Barrie while amassing 31 goals to go along with 63 assists for 94 total points.
A native of Litvinov, Czech Republic, Petruzalek was originally acquired by the club from the Ottawa 67's on June 29, 2005 in exchange for their first round import pick in the 2005 CHL Import Draft, which later turned out to be forward Tibor Radulay.
He was the New York Rangers' ninth round pick (266th overall) in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft, the parent club of Hartford.
