Saginaw Spirit News Release

The Saginaw Spirit announce today that goaltender Jake Paterson has been reassigned to the team by the NHL's Detroit Red Wings. It's expected that Paterson will be in the Spirit lineup when the team takes the ice in Windsor for a match up against the Spitfires on Saturday, October 4th. Paterson has played his entire OHL career with the Spirit, with the Red Wings selecting him as a third round pick, 80th overall in the 2012 NHL Draft.

Paterson is approaching a number of Saginaw Spirit team records at the goaltending position as his 142 games played is tied with Ryan Daniels for most in franchise history. The two time World Junior Championship participant also has 70 wins for Saginaw, four shy of Daniels' team mark.
