Bradenton, FL - The Marauders (13-8, 45-46) edged Lakeland (6-14, 39-50) 2-1 in 16 innings on Thursday night at McKechnie Field. SS JaCoby Jones lined the winning hit to right-center with one out in the home half of the 16th, plating CF Austin Meadows.
RHP Felipe Gonzalez (W, 4-4) earned the win with four innings of scoreless relief. He struck out six.
NOTES: The game began at 6:32 p.m. under overcast skies, 79 degrees, and wind blowing 8 mph out to center ... JaCoby Jones' game-winning hit was the first hit with runners in scoring position for either team; Lakeland finished 0-for-12 and Bradenton was 1-for-10 ... The Marauders evened their record in extra- innings at 8-8 on the season ... 17 is the franchise record for extra-inning games in a season; the 2015 team is one shy of matching that number with 49 games left to play ...
