Fort Worth Brahmas News Release

NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, Texas (January 6)-The Brahmas earned their fifth straight win in a 5-4 victory over the Tulsa Oilers Tuesday at the BOK Center powered by Grant Jacobsen's hat trick.

Jacobsen scored the first goal of the night in the first period to give the Brahmas the lead. The Brahmas never looked back until a third period scare when the Oilers knotted the game four a piece. It was Jacobsen's third goal of the night at the 11:40 mark to give the Brahmas the 5-4 victory.

David Cacciola started in goal for Texas, stopping 11 of 15 shots, and Brett Jaeger came in relief in the third to earn his 15th win of the year. Other key contributors were Scott Sheppard with a pair of goals and captain Craig Minard with four assists.

Texas special teams played a solid game going 4 for 8 on the powerplay and allowing just one goal on the penalty kill. The hat trick by Jacobsen is the second consecutive three goal effort by an individual; Justin Kinnunen scored the Brahmas first hat trick Saturday in Laredo.
