(Odessa, TX) - In a penalty filled game, three power play goals by the Odessa Jackalopes was too much for the Corpus Christi IceRays as Odessa won 4-1 on Friday night at the Ector County Coliseum. The win was Odessa's sixth in a row.
The Jacks led 2-1 entering the third period before Dominic Leveille and Sebastien Thinel scored goals to pull away from Corpus - adding to their league leading point totals.
Mario Joly opened the scoring with a power play goal in the first period at 10:58 and was later ejected from the game after earning an instigator penalty in a fight with John Halverson.
Odessa's Collin Circelli and Corpus Christi's Chris Richards each scored second period goals.
Jeff Pierce was the first star of the game with three assists.
