LAREDO, TX- The Laredo Bucks of the Central Hockey League will look to win their third straight game tonight when they host the Corpus Christi Ice Rays at the LEC. Both Laredo and Texas won again last night, putting the Bucks still 10 points behind the Brahmas for first in the Southeast Division.

The Bucks won their second-straight one-goal game over Rio last night, with a 3-2 victory. Sebastien Centomo stopped 30 shots in net, and combined in the last two wins has set aside 58 of 60 attempts.

Counting tonight's game, the Bucks will play four of their next five games at the LEC, where they have a CHL-leading 17 victories (17-4-1).

Mitch Stephens picked up his first Bucks point last night with an assist. Stephens is the Bucks leading-active scorer with 47 points (13-34=47).

Laredo is unbeaten against Corpus thus far in the regular season, holding a 6-0-1 mark against the Ice Rays. Tonight is the Bucks first of three straight games against the Ice Rays, as the two teams will meet again at the LEC next Thursday, before facing off Friday at the American Bank Center.

After winning four straight games last week, the Ice Rays have now lost thee in a row, including a 4-1 loss at Odessa last night.

Corpus currently sits one point back of the final playoff spot in the South behind Arizona.

All-Star Chris Richards leads the Ice Rays in scoring with 56 points (25-31=56).

On February 5th the Bucks will host the Corpus Christi Ice Rays on Big Buck Thirsty Thursday at the LEC. Beer is $2 all game long, starting when the doors open at 6pm.
