
JackHammers Sign Mark Sauer

JOLIET-The Joliet JackHammers are pleased to announce the signing of right-handed pitcher Mark Sauer. Sauer will start tonight against the Schaumburg Flyers at Alexian Field. He takes the place of Todd Ozias in the starting rotation. Ozias was released on June 6 by the JackHammers.
Sauer is originally from Woodbury, NJ and made two appearances with the independent Newark Bears in the Atlantic League earlier this season. He has a record of 0-0 with a 13.50 E.R.A. in two appearances. Sauer had previously pitched for High A Modesto in the California League (2003-2004) and High A Jupiter in the Florida State League (2002). With Sauer's addition to the roster, the JackHammers now have 10 pitchers.
Loose Gravel: The JackHammers have full season tickets, mini-plan ticket packages, individual tickets and a variety of group ticket packages available for the 2006 season. The next home stand begins June 13 at Silver Cross Field.
