
'Jackets Sting 'Birds in the 10th

Augusta, Ga.- Bobby Felmy lifted a fly ball to left field that was deep enough to score Mike McBryde from third in the 10th as the âJackets defeated Delmarva in game three of the four game set, 4-3 Tuesday night at Lake Olmstead Stadium.
Zach Clark left after six strong innings allowing two earned runs on four hits and striking out six. Delmarva scored three runs by taking advantage of three errors by the leagues best defensive team, all in the seventh inning.
Miguel Abreu committed his 21st error of the year in the bottom of the inning with two outs allowing McBryde to score the tying run. Danny Figueroa and Bobby Andrews had two hits apiece for the âBirds. Billy Rowell failed to reach base for the first time in 27 games going 0-4.
Delmarva goes for the split in the finale Wednesday night sending Tim Bascom (2-1, 2.96 ERA) to the hill against Augusta's Steven Calicutt (3-5, 4.41 ERA) who will deliver the games first pitch at 7:05.
