
Jackals Win Suspended Game

John Sneed earned his first victory of the season as the Jackals defeated the Allentown Ambassadors 4-1 at Yogi Berra Stadium in the completion of Thursday's suspended game.
The Jackals and Ambassadors were suspended by rain with two outs in the top of the fifth inning and the Jackals holding a 3-0 lead.
Sneed (1-0), started the bottom of the fifth inning in relief of original starter Chris Clark and threw four scoreless innings. Sneed allowed one hit while striking out four and walking two. Matt Powell pitched the ninth for New Jersey, allowing one run on one hit and a walk.
The Jackals went ahead 4-0 in the seventh on a Travis Bailey triple, followed by a Mike Glendenning single. Glendenning also hit a solo homerun on Thursday and finished the game 2-for-3 with two RBI. Bailey and Joe Kerrigan also had two hits for the Jackals.
Nolan Fry (3-1) took the loss for Allentown, pitching a complete game, surrendering 11 hits, two walks and striking out five.
