Québec centerfielder Carlos Rodriguez and North Shore right-hander John Kelly repeated as winners of the Daktronics Northeast League Players of the Week on Monday for the period ending Sunday, June 22.

Rodriguez won back-to-back awards by going 10-for-29 (.345) with five runs, one triple, four homers and 12 RBIs in the June 16-22 week. He slugged .828 and posted a .355 on-base percentage. Last week he went 9-for-22 (.409) with six runs, three doubles, four home runs, 10 RBIs, a 1.091 slugging percentage and a .519 on-base percentage in six games versus Bangor and at New Jersey.

Rodriguez, who turned 26 years old last week, is a former 11th-round choice of the Boston Red Sox in 1998. He played in the Boston system for five years, finishing at Single-A Sarasota of the Florida State League in 2001-02.
