
Jackals Triumph over Allentown 2-1

Joe Kerrigan drove in the go-ahead run, scoring Craig Conway with a single in the bottom of the eighth inning, to lift the Jackals over the Allentown Ambassadors, 2-1 at Yogi Berra Stadium in Little Falls.
Kerrigan was 3-for-4 on the night, all singles off Ambassadors starter Miguel Perez (0-2).
New Jersey starter Jackson Crowther (4-0) remained undefeated, limiting Allentown to six hits and one walk in eight innings. Crowther struck out four. Perez was dominating in his own right, throwing 7 2/3 innings, allowing both Jackals runs on seven hits and two walks while striking out eight.
The Ambassadors lone run came in the fourth when Vic Davilla, who was 2-for-4, doubled and later came around to score on a Crowther wild pitch, tying the score at 1-1.
The Jackals first run came in the bottom of the first when Travis Bailey blooped a single to right, scoring Darren Blakely.
Ben Grezlovski tossed a scoreless ninth for the second consecutive night to earn his second save.
