Berkshire Black Bears News Release
Back-to-back shutouts for the Bangor pitching staff has sent the Black Bears into a miniature tailspin, as they drop game three of the four game series 7-0 at Wahconah. The seven runs were all UNEARNED thanks to seven errors from the Berkshire defense. Brad Hargreaves, Jacks catcher, went 3-5 with 3 RBIs, a stolen base and a run scored. John Vigue (3-1) picked up the win, throwing 8 scoreless innings allowing just 5 hits, 2 walks and 6 strikeouts.
Bangor pitchers have now shutout the Black Bears for 20 straight innings at Wahconah, since the 6th inning 2-run double by Manny Crespo on Monday night. Tomorrow night pits Courtney Hall verses Jerry Long, as the Black Bears go for the split of the series.
