LITTLE FALLS, NJ--- Worcester got outfit today 12-6 and the Jackals scored in every inning after the third to beat Worcester on the first game of a mini three game road trip 7-3.

Zack Zuercher was adequate today in his first start back from the DL, but could only go five innings before handing the ball to his bullpen. Four pitchers ended up coming out of the Worcester pen (Nick Conway, Eddie Pena, Anthony Sullivan), giving up four runs over the last four innings. Conway picked up the loss that dropped his record to 2-3.

The Jackal offense was led Myron Leslie, Marcus Sanders, and Quinn Stewart; the latter of which notched his seventh home run of the season in the home half of the fourth. NJ starter Stuart Pomeranz had given up three runs, two earned, when he was struck in his pitching arm by a line drive off the bat of Omar Pena in the top of the forth. He picked up the ball and threw Pena out at first to end the inning, but did not return. The Jackals used five pitchers total as well and it was the third of which, Kevin Gunter (6-1), that picked up the opportunistic W.

Game two on Wednesday, also at 7:05 will feature right-hander Chris Farley (4-3) for the Tornadoes against NJ's most dominant lefty AJ Wideman (7-1).
