Jackals continue hurricane assistance

Elmira, NY - The Elmira Jackals announced today that two Jackals, forwards Sam Paolini and Tanner Shultz, will be appearing at the "Kuts and Stuff For Katrina" Hurricane Fundraiser on October 9th.

The Salon, 209 College Ave, in downtown Elmira is hosting the "Kuts and Stuff For Katrina" a day long Block Party to benefit the victims of Hurricanes Katrina & Rita on Friday October 9th. Both Paolini and Shultz, new players to the organization, will be on hand from 5 pm to 6 pm at the event to sign autographs and meet all those in attendance for this great cause.

Twenty of the best stylists and barbers in the area will be giving haircuts for donations of $20 or more. Enjoy food, beverages, kid's face-painting, mini-chair massages, dance lessons and raffles with prizes including a Sirius Satellite Radio and a Jackals game-worn jersey as part of their effort to raise money for the on-going relief efforts for Hurricane Katrina. All proceeds will go to the American Red Cross and the Salvation Army.

Disney On Ice: 100 Years of Magic is coming to Elmira. They will be presenting all the magic of Disney on the First Arena ice starting October 19th and running through October 23rd. Don't miss the Jackals Exhibition game against the Adirondack Frostbite Friday October 14th at 7:05 pm at the First Arena. The Jackals will start the 2005-06 UHL regular season Friday October 21st in Illinois against the Rockford Ice Hogs. Elmira will hit the ice at the First Arena for the home opener on Saturday October 29th at 7:05 pm against the Roanoke Valley Vipers.
