Jackals Announce Transactions

The Elmira Jackals announced multiple transactions for their game on Sunday against the Reading Royals. The Jackals have received defenseman Eric Regan and forward John Kurtz from their AHL affiliate, the Syracuse Crunch and forward Andrew Sweetland from their AHL affiliate, the Binghamton Senators, while Tyler Donati has been recalled by the AHL's Connecticut Whale. The Jackals have also signed goaltender Peter Skoggard to a contract and have released defenseman David Inman.

Regan has 25 points (7g-18a) in 35 games with the Jackals this season. His point total is second among ECHL defensemen behind only Toledo's Jason Lepine (26).

Kurtz has three points (1g-2a) in seven games with the Jackals this season and has an assist and 50 penalty minutes in 24 games with the Crunch. The Oakville, Ontario native recorded his first ECHL goal on Dec. 11 in a 7-3 win against Trenton.

Sweetland leads the Jackals with 17 goals and has added four assists for 21 points. He had a goal in five games with the B-Sens.

Skoggard, a native of Sweden, spent the first part of this season in the Federal Hockey League, playing with the Cape Cod Barons and Danbury Whalers. He was named the FHL's Goaltender of the Month for December.
