
Jackals Announce Roster Moves

Elmira Jackals News Release
The Elmira Jackals announced nine roster moves on Tuesday prior to their home game at First Arena against the Wheeling Nailers.
The Jackals have received the following players on assignment from the AHL:
Timo Pielmeier (G) - Albany
Josh Godfrey (D) - Binghamton
Wacey Hamilton (F) - Binghamton
John Kurtz (F) - Syracuse
Nick Schaus (D) - Syracuse
Pielmeier, a third-year pro, is 9-7-1-2 with Elmira this season, posting a .908 save percentage and a 2.96 goals-against average. The Deggendorf, Germany native made his first start for the AHL's Albany Devils on Saturday, setting aside 37 of 38 shots in a 4-1 win over the Syracuse Crunch.
Godfrey, a third-year pro, played in Elmira's first two games of the season on Oct. 14 and 15, recording two assists prior to being recalled by the Binghamton Senators. With the B-Sens this season, the 24-year-old from Collingwood, Ontario has two goals and four assists for six points in 23 contests.
Hamilton, a rookie, will make his ECHL debut tonight after skating the first 50 games of his pro career this season with Binghamton. The Cochrane, Alberta product has two goals and two assists for four points with the B-Sens in 2011-2012. Hamilton skated his entire WHL career with the Medicine Hat Tigers, collecting 193 points (61g-132a) over four seasons.
Kurtz, a second-year pro, is scoreless in four games with the Jackals this season and has one assist in six games with the Crunch in 2011-2012. The 22-year-old from Oakville, Ontario scored a goal and added two assists for three points in eight games with the Jackals in his rookie season of 2010-2011.
Schaus, a second-year pro from Orchard Park, N.Y, has four assists in five games with the Jackals this season and has notched a goal and three assists for four points in 22 contests with the Crunch.
Additionally, the Jackals have placed the following four players on waivers:
