Chicago Express News Release

Hoffman Estates, IL - The Chicago Express, proud member of the ECHL and proud affiliate of the NHL's Columbus Blue Jackets, announced today that D Brett Motherwell has returned from the Springfield Falcons of the AHL while LW Devin DiDiomete has been loaned to the Houston Aeros of the American Hockey League.

Motherwell returns after missing all three games for Chicago last week in South Carolina, Gwinnett, and Greenville. It was his second trip to the Falcons of the season, and he has now appeared in three games with the Falcons, scoring one assist and adding four PIM. The St. Charles, IL, native spent all of last season with the Bridgeport Sound Tigers of the AHL, earning 18 points (4g, 14a) in 60 games. He has played 21 games with Chicago this season, picking up eight assists.

DiDiomete makes his first trek to the AHL since joining the Express earlier this season. DiDiomete played in two games with the Wilkes-Barre Scranton Penguins at the beginning of the year, and played 63 games with the Connecticut Whale (AHL) last year, where his 303 PIM were good enough for third in the league. The Stratford, ON, native has played 172 games in the AHL, scoring 21 points and accruing 663 PIM. In 25 games with the Express, DiDiomete has nine goals and nine assists for 18 points along with 174 PIM and a plus-6 rating.

Chicago returns home on Friday, February 17, against the Gwinnett Gladiators for a Dollar Friday at the Sears Centre Arena, featuring one dollar beers and one dollar hot dogs.
