Jose Castellanos tied the score at 1-1 with an RBI single in the fourth inning for the Spirit. The Jackals answered in the bottom of the fifth off North Shore starter Klae Calvert, getting a walk from Keith Maxwell, and singles by Mikaela Dworken and Blakely to make the score 2-1.
North Shore's Jason Startari would tie the game at 2-2, singling off Jackals reliever Ben Grezlovski to score Juan Espinal from third.
The game will be completed when the Jackals travel to North Shore June 20-22 as will the second game of today's double header, which was rained out.
