
Bears Set to Rock the Block Again on Friday

NEWARK, NJ, June 4-The Newark Bears baseball team is throwing another party before its game this Friday night, June the 6th, at Bears and Eagles Riverfront Stadium. The Bears Rock-n-Block Party, featuring live music from recording artists Change of Structure, will begin at 5:00 PM and will run until 7:00 PM, when the Bears will face the Somerset Patriots. The party is free of charge.
Along with great live music, the Bears Rock-n-Block Party will feature fun local performers Magic Frank, Jay the Balloon Twister, Lucky the Clown and Coco Loco. Carnival games, including a dunking tank, will take place; and the Coors Light Girls will be on hand, as well.
Following the party the Bears will host the Patriots in an Atlantic League game. Tickets cost $9 and $7 and are available at the stadium's box office, online at www.newarkbears.com or by calling (973) 483-6900. The first 2000 fans in attendance Friday night will receive Bears notebooks courtesy of Sportscare Institute.
On Saturday, June 7th, the Bears host the Long Island Ducks in a 6:05 PM first pitch. Following the game there will be a fireworks extravaganza sponsored by IDT.
