
Jackals Add Pair of Forwards to Lineup

ELMIRA, N.Y. - January 9, 2014 - The Elmira Jackals announced today that forward Philip-Michael Devos has returned to Elmira after being released from his American Hockey League professional tryout contract with Bridgeport, and that rookie forward Jake Trask has signed with the club.
Devos was called up to the Bridgeport on December 28 on a PTO. The Sorel-Tracy, Quebec native skated in three games with the Sound Tigers but did not register a point. This was the second AHL call-up for Devos this season following a nine-game stint with the Syracuse Crunch from November 27 to December 18. Devos earned two points (1 goal, 1 assist) in his time with the Crunch. The 5-foot-11, 185-pound forward has appeared in 15 games for the Jackals this season and recorded nine points (1 goal, 8 assists).
Jake Trask, 22, is a first-year pro from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
Trask, 22, is a first-year pro from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. The 6-foot-0, 175 pound forward comes to Elmira after starting the season in the Southern Professional Hockey League. This season he has notched 25 points (11 goals, 14 assists) in 29 games for the Louisiana IceGators. Last season Trask earned four points (1 goal, 3 assists) in 15 games with the Tulsa Oilers of the Central Hockey League. Prior to turning pro, Trask recorded 161 points (76 goals, 85 assists) in 266 games split between the Kamloops Blazers and the Saskatoon Blades of the Western Hockey League.
Devos and Trask have joined the Jackals in Elmira and are expected to be in the lineup for this weekend's games against Reading.
