Jackals Acquire Rights To Petruic In Trade With Thunder

The Elmira Jackals announced today that they have acquired the rights to defenseman Neil Petruic from the Stockton Thunder in exchange for forward Colton Yellow Horn.

Petruic played 64 games in 2008-2009 with the Jackals AHL affiliate, the Binghamton Senators, putting up eight points (1-7) while totaling 62 penalty minutes. He is currently skating with the Manitoba Moose (AHL). Yellow Horn came to Elmira in February of 2009, and scored 11 points (5-6) in 26 games in his career with the Jackals.

The Jackals will attempt to sell out their third straight game since joining the ECHL in 2007-2008 when they host the Cincinnati Cyclones on Friday, October 30 at 7:35 PM. Poster schedules will be provided by Corning, Inc. On Saturday, October 31 the Jackals will host the Trenton Devils, and fans are invited to trick or treat at First Arena. Fans in attendance will receive glow sticks from Party Time.
