Checkers And Telebrands To Present
October 28, 2009 - ECHL (ECHL)
Charlotte Checkers News Release
CHARLOTTE, NC - Charlotte Checkers COO Tera Black announced today that the team has partnered with TeleBrands to present "As Seen on TV Night" on Friday, Dec. 4 when they host the Elmira Jackals. The event will be the first ever partnership between TeleBrands and a professional sports team and will involve a giveaway of not 100, not 500, but 2,000 TeleBrands "As Seen on TV" products!
TeleBrands is an award-winning global direct-response marketing company with worldwide success in the infomercial products category. For over 26 years, the company markets some of the country's top direct response television products including the PedEgg, EZ Combs and Windshield Wonder. TeleBrands' products are often discovered and brought to the marketplace by virtue of the hundreds of meetings the company conducts with inventors each year.
The first 2,000 Checkers fans through the door that night will receive an official TeleBrands "As Seen on TV" product. TeleBrands' founder and CEO, AJ Khubani, will be on hand to present the giveaways and communicate his company's mission to "create products that solve everyday problems." Khubani is recognized from his many television appearances as well as his guest spots on the Discovery Channel show, "PITCHMEN."
"I'm thrilled that TeleBrands has partnered with the Charlotte Checkers to create such a unique event," said Khubani. "Our consumers are the same fans that enjoy family activities including sports games. With our goal to solve a common problem with affordable products, we hope that all attending on December 4 will enjoy their TeleBrands products for years to come."
The theme for the night will focus on the phenomenon that has evolved from late night infomercials to popular reality shows and "As Seen on TV" goods being made available in major retailers like WalMart, Target, and Bed Bath and Beyond. The evening will celebrate the unique style of branding that TeleBrands and Khubani have pioneered, and promises to offer value you simply "have to see to believe."
But wait there's more! In addition to product giveaways, there will be Billy Mays-like demonstrations, product showcases and a select number of tickets available for just $9.99 via www.gocheckers.com.
"I cannot begin to express how excited I am for our 'TeleBrands As Seen on TV' Night.
Having a partnership with TeleBrands and AJ Khubani to provide some of the best 'As Seen on TV' products in the country as giveaways simply provides a value to our fans that is unprecedented," remarked Black. "In one night, we will be giving away $20,000 worth of items, just in time for the Holiday season, not to mention how fun the event is going to be."
