Odessa Jackalopes News Release
(Odessa, TX) - The Jackalopes began their season-long, eight-game road trip splitting a pair of games over the weekend. The team still holds a seven point lead for first place in the Southern Conference entering the All-Star Break.

Season record: 26-6-3
Friday at Mississippi, 3-2 Loss
The Jackalopes fell behind 2-0 and tried to pull a comeback effort, but fell short in their only meeting of the season against Mississippi. Dominic Leveille and Jeff Pierce each scored for Odessa in the loss.
Saturday at Wichita, 3-1 Win
The Wichita Thunder grabbed a 1-0 lead in the first two minutes of play, and the lead held up until the third period before Mike Ramsay scored a pair of goals to give Odessa the 2-1 lead. Kenny Bernard also added an empty net goal as Odessa scored three times in the third period.

Friday at Corpus Christi, 7:05 PM
It's the fifth meeting of the season between the Jacks and IceRays. Odessa is 4-0-0 this year against Corpus Christi and three of those games were decided by one-goal, two in a shootout. Odessa won the last contest, 5-1, back on January 2nd.
Saturday at Rio Grande Valley, 7:05 PM
Odessa visits the Killer Bees for the fifth meeting of the season and the first at Dodge Arena since the Jackalopes' 4-3 shootout loss on November 21st. The last two games between the two squads have been decided by shootouts with each team winning one.
The Odessa Jackalopes are the Central Hockey League affiliate for the NHL's New York Islanders and the AHL's Bridgeport Sound Tigers.
