Wednesday, January 13 - 2010 CHL All-Star Game - Laredo, Texas, 7:30 p.m. CST

Mavericks' forward and assistant coach Jeff Christian will represent the Mavericks at the 2010 CHL All-Star Game in Laredo, Texas. This year's game features the South Texas All-Stars (players from the Laredo Bucks, Corpus Christi IceRays and Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees) against the CHL All-Stars (players from the remaining CHL teams). Christian is making his fourth appearance to the All-Star Game and has six points on four goals and two assists in his previous three appearances.
Friday, January 15 - Missouri Mavericks vs. Mississippi RiverKings, 7:05 p.m. CST

The rivalry between the RiverKings and Mavericks heats up this weekend with a pair of games at Independence Events Center. The teams have met four times this season, all of which have been in Mississippi. After losing the first two games of the series by a combined score of 10-3, the Mavericks have a win and an overtime loss in the last two games. Missouri has outscored Mississippi 8-6 in the last two games, but the RiverKings have outshot the Mavericks in every game so far. The Mavericks will play the RiverKings in four of their next five games.

Tuesday, January 5 - Missouri 4 vs. Bossier-Shreveport 3 - Shootout
The Missouri Mavericks defeated the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs, 4-3, in a shootout Tuesday night at Independence Events Center. Mavericks' forward Bill Vandermeer had a pair of goals including the shootout winner, and goaltender Alexandre Vincent stopped 27 of 30 shots and three of four in the shootout for his sixth win of the season. Missouri reached the.500 mark for the first time and improved their record to 15-15-2 at the midpoint of the season.
Friday, January 8 - Missouri 1 vs. Arizona 4
The Mavericks lost to the Arizona Sundogs 4-1 Friday night in front of 4,286 fans at Independence Events Center. Jon Landry had a pair of goals and an assist, and Kyle McNulty stopped 21 of 22 shots in net for Arizona who improved to 12-18-3. Mavericks' forward Jeff Christian tallied the only Missouri goal and extended his scoring streak to nine games, but the team lost their first game in regulation in four games.
Saturday, January 9 - Missouri 5 vs. Arizona 6 - Shootout
The Mavericks lost in a shootout Saturday night, 6-5, to the Arizona Sundogs in front of 5,760 fans at Independence Events Center. The Mavericks trailed the Sundogs 5-1 with 12 minutes remaining in regulation, but made a furious comeback and scored four unanswered goals to tie the game and force overtime. Jeff Christian and Jeff MacDermid each had a pair of goals for the Mavericks, and Kyle Hood tallied two goals for Arizona including the game-winner in the shootout. Missouri lost their first shootout of the season and is now 6-1 in shootouts.
Notes
Superfan is Back - On Friday, January 16, Superfan will make his return to the IEC when the Mavericks host the Mississippi RiverKings. He will be out and about in the crowd tossing out t-shirts and cheering on the Mavs.
All-Star Break - Missouri heads into the All-Star Break just one game under.500 and the team is just two points below the Tulsa Oilers for the final playoff spot in the Northern Conference.
Home Heavy - The Mavericks have 30 games remaining in their inaugural season and 19 of those games will be at Independence Events Center. Missouri is currently 7-5-1 at the IEC and 8-11-2 on the road.
Scoring streak - Forward Jeff Christian heads into the All-Star break on a 10-game scoring streak in which the veteran has eight goals and six assists. The current streak is the longest of the season for the Mavericks and is one game longer than Christian's nine-game streak he had in November.
Rookie Leader - Mavericks' forward Nick Sirota is second in the CHL in scoring among rookies. Sirota has 21 points (10-11=21) in 32 games played and trails Corpus Christi's Ryan Garbutt by two points for the league lead.
Line-up sheets available - The Mavericks are now offering line-up sheets at the guest services booth and team store at all home games. The sheets include player/team statistics on one side and an action shot on the other side and are just $1.
Post-game Party - Rib Crib will host a post-game party after the Mavericks game on Saturday, January 16. Mavericks' players and staff will be in attendance and fans must show their ticket stub to get in the door. Rib Crib will provide a $10 buffet and drink specials to all Mavericks' fans. The party is based on first come first serve and there is limited seating, so get their quickly after the game.
