Arizona Sundogs News Release

The Arizona Sundogs (13-18-3) are currently riding a season-long four-game win streak and sit just seven points back of the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees and the Southern Conference's fifth and final playoff spot and eight points back of fourth-place Laredo.

The Sundogs extended their season-long win streak to four games with a pair of wins over the expansion Missouri Mavericks on Friday and Saturday at the Independence Events Center in Independence, Missouri.

All-Star defenseman Jon Landry tallied two goals and an assist in Friday's win and Kyle McNulty carried a shutout into the game's final period before Missouri's Jeff Christian snapped the netminder's scoreless streak at 154:54 with 7:24 remaining in the game.

On Saturday, Arizona extended its season-long win streak, holding on for a 6-5 shootout win. In control and leading 5-1 midway through the third period, the Sundogs saw a four-goal lead disappear en route to overtime and the eventual shootout. Kyle Hood tallied the lone shootout goal for his second marker and third point of the game. Kyle McNulty stopped all five skaters in the shootout.
