April 23, 2020 - Ontario Hockey League (OHL)
Guelph Storm News Release
The Ivan Tennant Memorial Award is awarded annually to the top academic high school player in the Ontario Hockey League. It is named in honour of the late Ivan Tennant, a former education consultant for the Kitchener Rangers who worked to develop the academic standards for the entire league during twenty years of service. The award was first given out in 2005.
Last year's nominee was defenceman Zack Terry, who won the OHL's Ivan Tennant Memorial Award.
With an average of 95% in six grade 12 advanced classes, this year's nominee is an exceptional, highly motivated student who is very dedicated to his academic studies. For the second year in a row, Zack Terry is the Storm's Top Academic High School Player and the Storm's Ivan Tennant Memorial nominee.
Congratulations Zack!
