
Isotopes Set Spring Training Slate

The Albuquerque Isotopes, Triple-A partner of the Los Angeles Dodgers, have announced their 2009 Spring Training Schedule, a 15-game slate that begins on March 20.
For the first time in team history the 'Topes will train in Arizona, following the Dodgers to their new state-of-the-art Camelback Ranch training facility in Glendale.
On the schedule are games with Pacific Coast League rivals Nashville (Triple-A affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers), Omaha (Kansas City Royals) and Portland (San Diego Padres), as well as contests against seldom seen International League foes Columbus (Cleveland Indians) and Charlotte (Chicago White Sox).
Major League pitchers and catchers report on February 13 with the first workout taking place on February 14. Dodger position players will arrive on February 18 with the first full squad workout taking place on February 19. This season will mark the first time in 61 years the Dodgers have not trained at Vero Beach, Florida.
