
Isotopes defeat Zephyrs

The host New Orleans Zephyrs lost to the Albuquerque Isotopes on Saturday by a score of 9-1.
Albuquerque starter Jeff Fulchino (3-7) threw a no-hitter in six innings of play to get the win. Fulchino gave up a run on a passed ball but struck out six batters.
Offensively the Isotopes were led by first baseman Tom Wilson, who went 3-4 with five runs batted in and two runs scored.
The only Zephyrs player to record a hit in the game was outfielder George Lombard in the eighth inning of the game.
Zephyrs starting pitcher Andrew Good (4-7) gets the loss after allowing five runs on seven hits in 5.1 innings of play.
The loss evens the home series between the teams at 1-1. They will face off again on Sunday in a game scheduled for 6:00 PM CT.
Note: Due to weather and the safety of the fans at Zephyr Field, the team postponed the scheduled concert with Bag of Donuts to a later date. Fans can check www.zephyrsbaseball.com on Monday or Tuesday of the coming week for the rescheduled date. All fans with a game ticket to Saturday's game will get free admittance with the ticket stub to both the rescheduled concert date and the Zephyrs next Fireworks game on Friday, August 4th.
