HEADLINES: Another doubleheader for RedHawks ... Volquez, Walker start ... Ramirez stays scoreless

TODAY'S OPPONENT: The Nashville Sounds are the Triple-A affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers. They have been a member of the Pacific Coast League since 1998. Last year, the Sounds were PCL Champions, going 75-69 and finishing first in the PCL American Conference Northern Division.

TODAY'S GAME: The RedHawks continue their six-game, four-day homestand against Nashville. Nashville will serve as the home team in the first game of the doubleheader. These are Oklahoma 's 101st and 102nd games of the season, 50th and 51st home games and 14th and 15th games against Nashville .

LAST GAME: The RedHawks were held to three hits in their 6-1 loss to Nashville. RedHawks relievers gave up two unearned runs on two hits with three walks and nine strikeouts over 6.2 innings. Adam Hyzdu was one-for-four with an RBI to lead the RedHawks offensively. Nashville 's Nelson Cruz was two-for-four with a home run and four RBIs.

VS. NASHVILLE: The RedHawks are 65-74 against Nashville since the two teams joined the PCL in 1998. They are 32-36 against them at AT&T Bricktown Ballpark. Coming into the season, the RedHawks were 63-63 against Nashville, 31-31 against them at home and 32-32 against them on the road.

PITCHING MATCHUP: Game one starting pitcher Edinson Volquez makes his 20th start of the season for Oklahoma. He is Texas' No. 1 prospect according to Baseball America. He is 3-1 with a 2.67 ERA (19 ER/64 IP) in 11 starts at home and 1-5 with a 4.50 ERA (22 ER/44 IP) in eight starts on the road. Kevin Walker will make his fourth start of the season in game two for Oklahoma . He is 0-1 with a 4.00 ERA (4 ER/9 IP) as a starter. Knuckleballer Jared Fernandez starts and one and lefty Zach Jackson starts game two for Nashville.

STREAKERS: Relief pitcher Erasmo Ramirez has not allowed an earned run in his last eight appearances ( 9.2 IP). Relief pitcher Josh Rupe has not allowed an earned run in his last five outings (5.2 IP).

BULLPEN: In the last 12 games, the RedHawks bullpen has given up 15 runs, 11 earned, over 55.0 innings (1.80 ERA). The bullpen has 53 strikeouts and 14 walks in the last 12 games.

CLOSE GAMES: Forty of Oklahoma 's 48 wins this season have come by four runs or less, including 22 one-run wins. Also, 39 of Oklahoma 's 52 losses this season have come by four runs or less, including 15 by one run.

RADIO UPDATE: The RedHawks' flagship station for most games is KEBC 1340 AM. However, there are a few dates the flagship station will change due to scheduling conflicts. The RedHawks will be on AM 1000 KTOK July 29 and Aug. 26. They will be on KFXY 1640 AM Aug. 20 and Sept. 3.

DOT-DOT-DOTS: The RedHawks are 39-29 since Mike Boulanger took over as manager May 11.
