Lehigh Valley IronPigs News Release
The IronPigs (11-7) play Game Two a three-game series against the Buffalo Bisons (10-9) at Coca-Cola Park... With a 5-1 loss last night, the Pigs have dropped three consecutive games for the first time this season and have now dumped five of their last six contests... The Bisons -- the Mets' top affiliate -- have now gone 6-3 since a season-long, three-game losing streak.
LHP Tom Cochran (2-0, 4.11) will start for LHV against LHP Garrett Olson (0-1, 2.20).
Tonight is IronPigs Winter Cap Giveaway Night, presented by TD Bank... First-Pitch is at 7:05 p.m.
DON'T FRET, STILL BEST START YET:
Despite the recent string, the Pigs are still off to their best start in LHV history (11-7)... Their prev. top mark thru 18 G was 9-9 last year.
RED 'HOT' SOX:
During the time LHV has dropped five of six games (starting 4/17), PAW has won 7 straight games -- moving the Pigs from +3.0 in the North to -2.5 GB (a 5.5-G swing in 7 days)... In all, the Red Hot Sox have won 8 straight and 11 of their last 12 G.
