
Rochester Red Wings Place Infielder Tsuyoshi Nishioka on 7-Day Disabled List

ROCHESTER, NY - The Rochester Red Wings today placed infielder Tsuyoshi Nishioka on the 7-Day Disabled List, retroactive to yesterday, with a sprained right ankle. Outfielder Ben Revere has also been recalled by the Minnesota Twins to replace Josh Willingham, who was placed on the Paternity Leave List.
Nishioka last played Friday vs. Lehigh Valley (Phillies), sustaining the injury while sliding into third base on a triple in the fifth inning. The 27-year-old switch hitter is batting .203 with eight walks in 16 games. He is tied for the team lead with Joe Benson with three stolen bases.
Revere batted .222 (6-for-27) with one RBI and three runs scored in six games with the Red Wings after being optioned from Minnesota on April 14.
