IronPigs Game Notes
August 26, 2011 - International League (IL1)
Lehigh Valley IronPigs News Release
The IronPigs (75-59) -- back in a tie of first place in the North with Pawtucket -- play Game Three of a four-game series against the West's (tied for) second-place Louisville Bats (69-65). With a 6-5 loss last night, the Pigs snapped their modest two-game "winning streak" and fell to 4-4 on this 10-game road trip. Lehigh Valley has emerged victorious in six of its last 10 contests, but remains just 33-35 since June 16 -- when they led the North by 5.0 games... The Bats -- Cincinnati's top affiliate -- have won eight of their last 12 affairs. However, once 41-30, the Bats have gone just 28-35 since June 20. Louisville is still alive in the Wild Card race, but needs to pass five teams...
RHP Dave Bush (1-0, 1.64) will start for LHV against RHP Chad Reineke (7-6, 3.51).
First-Pitch is at 7:05 p.m...
The Pigs postseason Magic No. is 9 (which would clinch at least a Wild Card tie -- a one-game playoff @ CCP)
