Morgantown, WV - After a rainy Thursday, Aberdeen played a doubleheader with the West Virginia Black Bears. Game one ended with a 3-1 loss, game two was a 4-1 win to take the series.

GAME ONE (3-1 West Virginia)

BIG MOMENTS

Bottom of the 1st: West Virginia put up two runs on two hits to make it 2-0.

Top of the 4th: Aberdeen made it a one run game with an RBI single for Rehabber Brett Cumberland

Bottom of the 6th: A solo homer for Blake Sabol made it a 3-1 game and earned the Black Bears a win.

BIG MOMENTS

Top of the 1st: Aberdeen scored first. A double steal for Johnny Rizer and Irving Ortega brought Rizer home and made it 1-0.

Top of the 4th: Andrew Fregia pumped a solo homer over the leftfield wall and made it 1-0. It was his first homer of the season and his third as a pro.

Kade Strowd pitched on the West Virginia University Campus for the first time as a pro, returning to his college turf in front of a packed house.

Aberdeen played its first doubleheader of the year, splitting it and winning their third series in a row.

Through 27 games, Aberdeen is 14-13 and comes home for a six game stand.
