STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. - Aberdeen and Staten Island completed the season finale on Saturday night. It ended with a 1-0 loss in a game the IronBirds only had three hits

OFFENSE:
The Game's Only Run: It came in the 5th. Staten Island's David Metzgar reached on an error by shortstop Joey Ortiz. Carlos Narviez singled to move him to second. He scored on a grounder in the infield that ended up being a doubleplay with an error mixed in.
NEWS AND NOTES
Aberdeen fell for the first time at Richmond County Bank Ballpark, they finished the season 5-1 in Staten Island.
Offensively, the IronBirds have totaled just six hits in the last two games.
Staten Island scored just two runs in the three game set.
With 9 games to go, Aberdeen is 37-29. They are now a game back of Brooklyn for the wild card.
