DES MOINES, Iowa - After a six-game road trip and nearly a month since its last home game, the Iowa Wolves defeated the Wisconsin Herd, 113-102 on Monday night at Wells Fargo Arena.

Iowa (6-5) had six players finish in double figures as forward Chris Silva continued his impressive double-double streak with 23 points and 15 rebounds. Silva has recorded six consecutive double-doubles. Vincent Edwards scored 20 points while Brian Bowen II was next with 19 points. Brandon Sampson chipped in 17 points while Isaiah Miller and McKinley Wright IV rounded out the group with 13 points each.

Former Wolve and Iowa State standout led Wisconsin (8-3) with 19 points while five others tallied double digits.

Wolves held a nine-point lead at 33-24 after one quarter of action. Silva had nine points while Sampson added seven off the bench. Iowa shot 55.0 percent (11-of-20) from the field and made five three-pointers. Iowa took a 57-54 lead into halftime.

In the third after trailing by 13, Milwaukee pulled all way back to within one point at 85-84 with a putback with five seconds in the third. Miller beat the buzzer with a three-pointer from the right wing that extended the lead to four at 88-84.

Iowa opened the fourth with four quick points, but Milwaukee countered with an 8-0 scoring burst that forced a Wolves' timeout at the 8:49 mark. The Herd added four more points as the Wolves suffered a scoreless stretch. Wright ended the drought with a layup and Silva rebounded a missed three by Matt Lewis and put it back in to tie the game at 96-96.

The teams continued to trade buckets until Bowen buried a three from the left wing with 3:20 left. Later, he added two free throws and Silva two more. Iowa added more free throws after three technical called on Wisconsin.

The two teams will meet again on Wednesday, Dec. 15 at 7 p.m. CT at Wells Fargo Arena.
