Iowa Recalls Matson from Orlando

Des Moines, IA - The Iowa Wild General Manager Jim Mill announced on Sunday the American Hockey League (AHL) club has recalled forward Taylor Matson from the Orlando Solar Bears of the ECHL.

Matson, 25 (9/16/88) returns to the Wild after skating in 18 games with the Solar Bears. The Mound, Minnesota native tallied 20 points with the club (7g-13a20) and a plus-12 rating. The 6-foot, 185-pound forward has played in 29 games with the Iowa Wild during the 2013-14 season, recording four points (3-14) and 12 penalty minutes (PIM).

Iowa will conclude a weekend set with Rockford on Sunday, Feb. 16 at 4:05 p.m. The game is Superheroes Day, where superheroes and local mascots, including Cy and Herky, make an appearance. The first 2,000 fans in attendance receive an Iowa Wild superhero poster. Fans may also purchase the Subway Family Four Pack for the game, which features four tickets, four hot dogs, four sodas, and Subway coupons starting at $44. The Wild begins a three-game road trip on Wednesday in Rockford at 6:05 p.m. (CT). The team plays a pair of games at Lake Erie before returning home on Tuesday, Feb. 25 for a 5:35 p.m. faceoff with Rockford. The game is a $2 Tuesday, where fans can purchase any level ticket with a $2 discount. Patrons will also be able to purchase $2 sodas, $2 popcorns and $2 10-ounce domestic drafts (21 and older - only through first period of play). Select merchandise items will also be discounted by $2. The team will also host the Rochester Americans at 7:05 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 27.

Tickets are available online at www.iowawild.com under the single game tickets tab. Fans may also purchase tickets by calling 1-866-55-DAHLS (32457) or by visiting one of 13 Dahl's Food Stores locations in the greater Des Moines area, and in Ames.
