Iowa Energy Announce Training Camp Roster

DES MOINES, IA, November 4, 2013 - The Iowa Energy announced today their 2013-2014 training camp roster. Headlining the roster are three players with NBA experience. Othyus Jeffers (Spurs, Jazz, Wizards), Diante Garrett (Suns), and Jarvis Varnado (Heat) have all played in the NBA.

The Energy made a draft day trade with the Santa Cruz Warriors to obtain Buckner and Judkins. The Energy sent 11th overall pick William Buford and 27th overall pick Abdul Gaddy to the Warriors. Buckner was originally drafted by the Erie BayHawks 8th overall, then sent the rights to the Warriors.

Iowa Energy season tickets are now on sale for the 2013-14 season. Training camp will start Thursday, November 7. The Energy will host the Rio Grande Valley Vipers in its opening day game on Sunday, December 8 at 4 PM. Opening night is on Saturday, December 14 at 7 PM against the Delaware 87ers.
