
Legends Complete Three Trades, Finalize Training Camp Roster

FRISCO, TX, (Nov. 4, 2013) - The Texas Legends, presented by Veracruz (visit Veracruz.mx), have announced their finalized training camp roster. Training camp will begin this Friday, Nov. 8 and will see five returning players, five local tryout invitees, two affiliate players and five draft picks including four trade acquisitions.
In the 2013 NBA Development League Draft the Legends selected five players: CJ Aiken from Saint Joseph's (1st round), Rashad Anderson from Connecticut (2nd round), John Allen from Western Washington (4th round), Travis Garrison from Maryland (5th round), and Tyshawn Edmonson from Austin Peay (6th round). Following the draft the Legends made the subsequent trades:
CJ Aiken to Erie in exchange for Terrel Harris; Rashad Anderson and 3rd round pick in 2014 draft to Canton in exchange for Micheal Eric (pending physicals) and Canton's 4th round pick in 2014 draft; and, in a three-way trade, Tyshawn Edmonson to Springfield and the rights to Dwayne Jones and John Allen to Santa Cruz in exchange for Paul Sturgess from Springfield and Jeremy Atkinson from Santa Cruz.
Terrel Harris is a 6'5" guard out of Oklahoma State. Originally from Garland, TX Harris will be returning home to play after spending three seasons with the Miami Heat. Harris averaged 17ppg, 6rpg and 4.7apg with the Rio Grande Valley Vipers before being acquired by Miami.
Micheal Eric is a 6'11" forward/center out of Temple University. Eric was born and raised in Nigeria but comes to the Legends from the Cleveland Cavaliers affiliate, Canton Charge where he spent the 2012-13 season averaging 8.6ppg, 7.5rpg and 1apg. Eric was invited to the 2013 training camp of the Philadelphia 76ers.
At 7'8" Paul Sturgess stands as the tallest basketball player in the world. Sturgess is originally from England but comes to the Legends having spent the past two years with the Harlem Globetrotters.
Jeremy Atkinson is a 6'4" forward out of Elm City, North Carolina. He comes to the Legends from University of North Carolina-Asheville where he averaged 17.7ppg, 7.1rpg and 2.5apg in his senior season.
Travis Garrison is a 6'8" power forward out of Maryland. Garrison spent the last season in Venezuela where he averaged 6.5ppg and 5.1rpg.
